And, It would be really nice it get the best value I can. I also need the PC software to run on the latest Windows OS. I also want to be able to work on all the newest vehicles and support all the latest protocols. Basically I need to scan, read & clear codes and monitor engine sensor data (really handy when trying to diagnose a sensor issue). I can spend about $200 for a new scanner. (No, I didn't make a mistake, the release notes for the v4.07 say the last update was for the 06 & 07 model years.) So I installed & updated the EZ-PC software on my old Windows XP machine and downloaded the unit's software, only to find it doesn't support vehicles newer than 07. I tried to download the software and realized that the EZ-PC software doesn't work on Windows 7 圆4. only way AutoXray can notify you of future updates / upgrades for your scanner. I've owned an AutoXRay EZ-Scan 6000 for about seven years - and had been fairly happy with it until now: I went to help a friend and realized that I didn't have the latest software to scan newer vehicles - no big deal, I figure I'll just update my unit.
